The great attraction of Bowdoinham is its country like small community setting. and it proximity to I-295. Bowdoinham. The town is set on the Cathance River and has a very nice park and boat launch facility right downtown. The center consist of several small business including 1 restaurant, country store, Curtis Insurance agency, Bowdoinham Federal credit union and a few others. It is a rural community of approx. 2500 people and is a favorite for commuters who prefer a rural setting in which to live. For larger shopping, most people go to Brunswick/Topsham (15 minutes) or Augusta (45 minutes).
