With all the choices to be made in life where to retire should not be a difficult one.  In the summer of 2000 an article was released naming Brunswick, Maine as one of the Top 5 places to retire in the US. As a resident of Brunswick I can see why we were picked. 

The entire State of Maine is community oriented. Whether the issue is the care of our young or the comfort of our old - we are prepared to look at it, fight for it and see the issue solved. When it comes to retirees Maine has Elder care groups which focus and direct the needs of the elderly. Brunswick itself is covered by Senior Spectrum. They are the people to contact when you can't find a service or need a question answered.  

Brunswick and the Merrymeeting Bay area is home to many retirement communities, condominiums, assisted living centers, outreach programs and more. We also have the new Mid-Coast Hospital being constructed in the Cooks Corner area of Brunswick. All of these things along with a strong sense of community is why The Mid-Coast region is a great place to retire.
